Paris bus strike over attacks

Paris - Hundreds of thousands of surprisingly understanding Parisians, normally served by one of the best underground and bus networks in the world, were left stranded yesterday as almost every bus driver in the city went on strike in protest over a spate of increasingly ugly attacks on transport workers, the latest wave in an apparently unstoppable tide of youth violence sweeping France.
