Paris - Mr Henri Paul, driver of the car in which Princess Diana was killed, tipped off waiting photographers that she was about to leave the Ritz Hotel, sources close to the investigation said yesterday.

The allegation was made in a report given last month to investigating magistrate Mr Herve Stephan, who is leading the probe into the causes of the August 31st crash, which also killed Princess Diana's companion, Mr Dodi Al Fayed, and Mr Paul, the sources said.
