A Palestinian civilian was shot dead during an Israeli raid on the West Bank city of Nablus before dawn today.
A Palestinian man (70) was shot just as he left his house in the old city area and later died.
At least two exchanges of gunfire broke out during the Israeli patrols, and three gunmen from the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades militia were injured, the group said.
Israeli troops patrolling the area detained at least five alleged militants, witnesses said.
