Over €500,000 worth of cocaine siezed in Meath

Two men have been arrested after gardai in Dublin seized five kilos of cocaine in a raid on a premises in the Bettystown area of Co Meath this morning.

As a result of an ongoing investigation into criminal activity and seriouscrime by the Gardai in Finglas, the cocaine was discovered this morning following a search of a premises in Bettystown Co Meath.

The total value of the cocaine is believed to be between€500,000 and €700,000.

A substantial amount of cash and drug paraphernalia was also seized.

Two men were arrested and both are being detained under the drugtrafficking act at Blanchardstown Garda station.

One man is from Dublin and is in his mid-forties while the other is from Carlow and is in his mid-thirties.
