The Progressive Democrats will not make a pre-election pact with any party before the next general election, the party's chairman has said.

In a statement yesterday, Mr John Dardis said the real choice facing the electorate was between his party "and the left wing parties" as partners for Government. "People want a change and the Progressive Democrats will provide that change," he said.
