Pop star Michael Jackson has pleaded not guilty to a 10 count indictment that includes charges of child molestation, extortion, child abduction, false imprisonment and giving a minor an intoxicating agent.
Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville told lawyers in the case that he would release only portions of the indictment to the public, while the lawyers were shown the full indictment.
It was the first time the grand jury indictment had been made public in any way.
