A book of evidence was served yesterday on a Wicklow woman accused of murdering her husband last year. Mrs Catherine Nevin (46) is charged with murdering her husband, Tom, at the pub they both owned, Jack White's Inn, in Ballypark, Arklow, on March 19th, 1996.

She is also accused of soliciting three men on three different dates to murder her husband: Mr Gerry Heapes, within the State, in 1990; Mr John Jones, in Finglas in 1989, and Mr William McClane, in St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, in 1990.

Judge Murrough Connellan remanded Mrs Nevin on bail to August 21st and asked the prosecution to fix dates for depositions by then.
