Nearly 100 people have been arrested in the past three weeks during a Garda operation targeting suspected drug dealers in Dublin.

Gardaí said today a total of 77 men and 17 women have been arrested during "Operation Cleanstreet". They face a range of charges including supplying heroin, ecstasy and cannabis.

Those arrested, who are all aged between 17 and 32 years old, were held after raids by the Garda National Drugs Unit on Dublin streets and nightclubs.

The total value of the drugs seized was around €4,000.
