Tennis: Rafael Nadal extended his unbeaten run at Roland Garros to 16 matches by brushing aside second-round opponent Flavio Cipolla with a 6-2 6-1 6-4 victory on Suzanne Lenglen court in the French Open.
The Spaniard, who is yet to be defeated here since making his debut in 2005, is bidding to become the first man since Bjorn Borg in 1980 — and only the second in 93 years — to win three Roland Garros titles on the trot.
Nadal is favourite to claim the title again this year, but is adamant the burden of expectation is not weighing him down.
"Everyone wants to win matches here, so I don't feel pressure any more than anyone else," said the 20-year-old.
"Roger Federer, (Tommy) Robredo, Carlos Moya, all of these people coming here who want to win have to cope with a certain level of pressure.
"But it's business as usual. There's only one way you can eliminate pressure and that's by playing well."
Nadal was steady, if not spectacular, in his one hour and 53 minutes on court against Cipolla.
