Ollie Murphy has been ruled out of the Meath team to play Dublin in Sunday’s Leinster football semi-final after failing a fitness test.

The Carnaross hitman will be replaced by Ray Magee in the only change to the side that defeated Westmeath earlier this month. Nigel Nestor, an injury-concern in the Meath camp this week, retains his place.

Sean Boylan had twice delayed naming his side for Sunday’s showdown and when he finally announced it today Murphy was the glaring omission.

A prolific scorer for Meath and one of the driving forces behind last year’s All-Ireland campaign, Murphy will be sorely missed.

He has been struggling with a groin injury and didn’t appear 100 per cent fit in the Westmeath match.

MeathC Sullivan; M O'Reilly, D Fay, C Murphy: P Shankey, H Traynor, P Reynolds: N Crawford, J Cullinane: E Kelly, T Giles, N Nestor; R Magee, G Geraghty, D Curtis.
