The Waterford-based toy and games company, Hasbro, is to manufacture a euro version of Monopoly.
Monopoly is the company's largest selling board game with 1.5 million games sold every year worldwide.
A company spokeswoman said it expected heavy demand for the euro version in the run up to Christmas.
The games will be sold throughout the European market.

The Hasbro plant is on a 12 acre site on the Cork Road and comprises five linked factories producing a range of board games, Playdoh playsets and also numerous types of jigsaw puzzles for adults and children.
