A week-long search by gardai for a missing English woman ended when she was recognised from a newspaper photograph while drinking in a pub in Dublin city centre.

Ms Collette Irene Slater (26), from Kingston near Bristol, who came to live in Dublin a short time ago, was last seen on June 27th leaving Slattery's pub on Capel Street in the company of two men.

A flatmate had reported the woman missing earlier this week after she failed to return home.
