Jerusalem - Israeli and Palestinian peace negotiators met again yesterday, ignoring calls by hardliners to break off their dialogue after renewed violence.

A senior Palestinian official, Mr Saeb Erekat, said the third session in five days had produced "nothing new".

Emotions remained at boiling point after a Jewish settler was killed in the Gaza Strip and his fellow settlers took reprisals on Monday in a rampage against Palestinian houses, crops and greenhouses that continued until early yesterday.
