The High Court has adjourned for a further week proceedings in which a Co Donegal publican is alleging that senior garda∅ conspired in a campaign to damage him and his family.

Mr Martin Giblin SC, for Mr Frank McBrearty snr, of Raphoe, told Mr Justice Smyth that something had been said to him by the other side which was of considerable significance and would permit them to consent to an adjournment.

The judge continued an injunction granted to Mr McBrearty on November 22nd which restrains the Garda Commissioner from continuing to circulate a document in local Garda stations relating to the McBrearty family.
