A Mass for East Timor will be celebrated in St Peter's Church, Dunboyne, today. The service, organised by the St Peter's Human Rights Group, will pray that the United Nations invokes the convention on the prevention of genocide "to stop appalling atrocities which are now happening in East Timor".
Students and parents are invited to meet at the Dunboyne community centre at 1 p.m. to walk to the church for the service at 1.40 p.m.
