A 23-year-old man ahs been admitted to hospital after being shot in the ankles and wrist in what appears to have been a paramilitary-style punishment attack in the nationalist Ballymurphy Road area of west Belfast around 7p.m. yesterday. The man was attacked by eight or 10 men who beat him with iron bars and hammers before shooting him. His condition is not known.
