Man seriously hurt in attack

A man in his 70s was taken to hospital last night after being attacked in his home in Coleraine, Co Derry, by two masked men wielding a hatchet and a Stanley knife, according to the RUC. He sustained two broken legs, a broken wrist and serious facial injuries. His condition was described as serious.
