The body of a man believed to be in his fifties was taken from the River Liffey at around 6 a.m. and brought to the Mater Hospital.
The body was discovered by a passer-by near the Custom House Quay and was removed by the Dublin Fire Brigade.
Gardaí have not yet identified the man.
