A motorist has been remanded on bail on charges of killing three pedestrians on the outskirts of Navan last weekend.
Marius Tamulevicius (29) a Lithuanian welder with an address at The Drive, Athlumney Abbey, Navan, appeared in Kells District Court today.
He is charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Philip Quinn, (38), Robinstown, Ballivor, Co Meath, Paul Lennon (42), Glen Lodge, Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, and Polish national Slawomir Krzenek (34), Chestnut Hall, Johnstown, Navan.
The three men died when they were hit by a car at Kilcarn in the early hours of Sunday, January 8th.
Mr Tamulevicius was remanded on bail of €1,000 with two independent sureties to appear at Navan District Court next month.
Judge John Brophy order him to sign on twice a week at Navan Garda Station.
