A man charged with the murder of two men whose bodies were found in the Grand Canal appeared yesterday at Dublin District Court.
Mr Mark Desmond (25), formerly of Lally Road, Ballyfermot, was remanded to Kilmainham District Court on September 13th.
The judge heard from gardai that the book of evidence would not be ready for "quite some time".
Mr Desmond is charged with murdering Mr Patrick Murray (19), from Ballyfermot, and Mr Darren Carey (20), from Islandbridge. Their bodies were found in the Grand Canal, near Celbridge, Co Kildare. They had been missing since December 28th last.
