At a special court in Craigavon yesterday, Mr Ashley Burton, Parkmore, Craigavon, Co Armagh, was charged with abducting a child on May 21st. He was also charged with falsely imprisoning the child on the same date.
A police constable told the court that when arrested, charged and cautioned at Lurgan RUC station on Wednesday, Mr Burton replied: "No" to each of the two charges.
He was remanded in custody to Craigavon Magistrates Court on June 19th.
