Man on assault charge gets bail

A young man charged with assaulting another man in Ballyfermot over Christmas was released on bail at Kilmainham District Court in Dublin yesterday.

Mr Philip Quinn (20) of Le Fanu Drive, Ballyfermot is alleged to have assaulted Mr Martin Devoy (25), causing him serious harm, outside Borza's chip shop on Ballyfermot Road on December 27th. Mr Devoy later died as a result of his injuries.

Mr Quinn was released on bail of £1,000 to appear before Kilmainham Court on January 11th, pending further charges.
