Man killed after being struck by stolen car

A 21-year-old man has died after he was hit by a stolen car on the Stewartstown Road in Belfast early this morning.

A 21-year-old man has died after he was hit by a stolen car on the Stewartstown Road in Belfast early this morning.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said a silver Vauxhall Corsa had been reported stolen from Fitzwilliam Street in the University area at around 10 p.m.

Mr Kieran Conlon from Dungloe Crescent, Linadoon was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital, but died a short time later from multiple injuries.

Police believe the car had been travelling in the Stewartstown for some time before the incident which occurred at around 3 a.m. and have appealed for witnesses.
