A DUBLIN man who used a blood filled syringe to rob a launderette was jailed for 15 months at Kilmainham District Court yesterday. Brendan Glynn (31), of Raheen Park, Ballyfermot, pleaded guilty to the robbery in Ballyfermot on June 27th.

Garda Dave Cullen described how Glyun asked about the price of getting washing done. He then jumped the counter and put a blood filled syringe to the neck of the woman attendant. He forced her to open the till and took £25.

Garda Cullen arrested Glynn with the syringe on him later that day. Glynn also admitted breaking into a car in Crazy Prices, Ballyfermot, the same day.

Judge Gillian Hussey said Glynn had pleaded not guilty on July 31st, and said she had no hesitation in giving him the full 12 months for the robbery. She added three months consecutive for breaking into the car.
