Man injured in Duleek shooting

A 29-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Duleek, Co Meath this morning.

A 29-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Duleek, Co Meath this morning.

The shooting happened shortly after 10.30am when a lone gunman fired a number of shots at the victim outside his house in the Belfry Estate.

The gunman was then driven away in a blue hatchback type car.

The injured man is in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
