A 37-year-old man was injured in a stabbing incident at a house in West Belfast last night.

Police received reports of the stabbing at about 11pm in the Ballymurphy area. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 31-year-old man was being questioned by police about the incident.

It is not believed that the stabbing had any connection to a dispute between rival families in the Ballymurphy area which has seen one man, Gerrard Devlin, stabbed to death, several houses set alight and a shooting of a teenager last week.
