Gardaí are questioning a man today following the seizure of two guns and a quantity of ammunition in Co Dublin.
Officers from the organised crime unit stopped a man in his 40s as he was walking in the Applewood area of Swords at about 8pm last night and found the weapons in a bag he was carrying.
The search came as part of an ongoing operation against a Dublin criminal gang.
The man is being held at Swords Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
