A man was found lying in the middle of the road in Ashbourne, Co Meath, early yesterday morning. Gardai are investigating whether he was the victim of a hit and run accident. Mr Noel Gough (19), from Roadmaine, Ashbourne, was pronounced dead at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
