A man was forced to climb on to the roof of his home in Belfast today as four attackers armed with knives ransacked his property.
Police in the north of the city were called to reports of a disturbance in the Manor Street area at around 6.15am.
The occupant escaped the attack by climbing on to the roof of the house while a number of windows, a glass door and furniture was smashed below.
“Four males, ages 20, 18, and two aged 16, have been arrested and are currently helping police with their enquiries,” said a PSNI spokeswoman.

“Police would appeal to anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious activity to contact them.”
