A man (29) is due to appear in Belfast Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with the murder of a homeless man whose body was found on Monday.

The body of Michael Kearney (39), of no fixed abode, was found in a flat at Friendly Place in the Markets area. Police said he died in a "particularly brutal" attack.

A second man who was arrested and questioned has been released without charge.
