A man in his 20s died when the car he was a back seat passenger in crashed on the M1 early this morning.
The driver and a front seat passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Beaumont Hospital but later released.
The incident happened on the northbound lane between Junction 4 and 5 of the motorway at 3.30am and no other vehicle was involved in the crash.
Gardaí have closed the section of the motorway pending a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
