Naples - A British technician died in an explosion in the engine room of a cruise liner yesterday, a coastguard official said.
The Island Princess liner was undergoing sea trials off the Italian coast. Ansa newsagency named the dead man as Mr John Pickard (38). Mr George Clayton (45), was seriously burned.
