A 54-year-old man died last night when his car hit a tree in Co Clare.
The crash took place on the N18 at Portdrine, Cratloe at around 8.45pm.
The man, who was alone in the car, was taken to the Regional Hospital at Dooradoyle, where he was declared dead an hour later.
