Man critically injured in Westmeath hit-and-run

Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run last night that left a man critically injured.

Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run last night that left a man critically injured.

The 23-year-old man is believed to have been hit by an articulated lorry that failed to stop. He is now in Tullamore General Hospital.

The incident happened on the N6 on the outskirts of Moate at around 9.30 p.m.
