The condition of the former Limerick hurling goalkeeper, Mr Tommy Quaid, was described as still critical in hospital after he fell from scaffolding. An electrical contractor, he was working on an extension to the Charleville Credit Union building when the accident occurred on Tuesday. He fell 20 feet on to concrete and is believed to have sustained head injuries. He was moved from Mallow hospital to University Hospital Cork.
