A 37-year-old man has been found not guilty by a jury of raping his sister after a five-day trial at the Central Criminal Court. The jury took over 3 1/2 hours to acquit the father of four on 11 charges of rape and indecent assault.

The man had denied a total of 14 charges, seven of raping his sister and seven of indecently assaulting her on dates from 1982 to 1989.
