A man appeared in court yesterday charged with dangerous driving causing the death of the vice-chairman of the Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed, Richard Greene. Mr Greene (48) and his daughter Christina (18) died in a car crash at the junction of Townsend Street/Moss Street, Dublin, last September 20th. Mr Declan Martin (26), Markievicz House, Dublin, was charged with dangerous driving causing both their deaths and with the unauthorised taking of a car.

He was also charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury to another passenger in their car, Ms Lillian Kelly, and with having no insurance. Judge Terence Finn remanded him to appear again in a week.
