A man will be sentenced later after he threatened to kill a woman and put her in the boot of his car as she collected her son from school.

Thomas McConnell (28) pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to threatening to kill or cause serious harm to Louise Sheridan in Ballymun, Dublin, on August 23rd, 2011.

McConnell, Dunemer Rise, Lusk, Co Dublin, had initially denied the charge and other related offences but pleaded guilty following four days of a trial last month.

He is also due to be sentenced in March for a second charge of having the head shop drug “snow blow” for sale or supply at his home on October 12th, 2010.

He was on bail for this offence when he threatened Ms Sheridan.
