Sentence on a man for his role in two attempted car hijackings in suburban areas has been adjourned to October 9th next so that a psychiatric report can be prepared.

John Doyle (22), of Clonmore Road, Ballybough, was released on bail on condition that he remains out of trouble, resides with his father, takes up a job offer, and undergoes continuous urine analysis.

Doyle pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to attempted car hijackings in Drumcondra and Marino on May 8th, 2000, and to possession of a pellet-gun with intent to rob and to hijack on the same date.
