A cruise liner carrying over 1,000 people is to stop in Galway Bay today as part of a two-week European cruise between Denmark and Spain. The Bahamas-registered Royal Viking Son, which weighs 37,845 tonnes, is the biggest liner ever to anchor off the west of Ireland. It is due to drop anchor off Mutton Island at 7 a.m. and to leave at 5 p.m.
