The Dublin West TD, Mr Liam Lawlor, is a director of a second Czech Republic-based property development company, apart from the one he was questioned about by the recent Fianna Fail payments to politicians inquiry team, the latest declaration of TDs' interests shows.

Mr Lawlor was asked by the inquiry about Irish Consortium SRO, a company based in Prague of which he is an executive director. In the updated register of interests of TDs and senators, due to be published tomorrow, Mr Lawlor is shown to be a non-executive director of a company called Zatecka 14 SRO, also based in Prague.

Under the Ethics in Public Office Act 1995, all TDs and senators must make annual declarations of income, company directorships and shareholdings, travel benefits, gifts, and property holdings over a certain value. The latest declarations are for the year ending January 31st, 2000.

Mr Lawlor who, the Flood tribunal heard, was paid for consultancy services in the 1990s, stated in the latest register that he earned no occupational income apart from his TD's salary in the last year. In the previous year's register, he said he earned an income from Demographic and Population Studies, consultants in Harold's Cross, Dublin.
