Larry Cunningham to be honoured

Hundreds of country music fans will honour one of Irish's legendary performers this evening in Cavan. Larry Cunningham, renowned for hits such as Lovely Leitrim, Among the Wicklow Hills and Pretty Little Girl from Omagh, is the subject of a new biography. It has been written by Galway-based country music journalist and broadcaster, Tom Gilmore and will be launched by RTÉ commentator Jimmy Magee at the Hotel Kilmore in Cavan town this evening. Cunningham, now in his 70s, is still singing and will perform a number of his hits this evening.
