Robbie Keane is determined to fight for his Leeds United place despite the club agreeing a fee with Sunderland for the Republic of Ireland striker.

Leeds, who need to make a £15 million profit on any summer transfer dealings, have given Keane permission to talk to Sunderland about a possible move.

But Keane is reluctant to leave Leeds and said today: "I do not want to speak to any other club.

"I am happy at Leeds and am confident that I can impress any new manager with my ability and commitment."
