The trial of a man accused of raping a mildly mentally handicapped woman has continued at the Central Criminal Court with legal argument in the absence of the jury.

A 32 year old Dublin man has pleaded not guilty to raping and sexually assaulting the woman in his home on May 17th, 1991.

Mrs Justice McGuinness has asked the jury of seven women and five men to return to the court this morning. The trial began four days ago.
