JCB used in Kilkenny post office raid

A stolen JCB was used to steal a safe from a post office in Co Kilkenny early this morning.

A stolen JCB was used to steal a safe from a post office in Co Kilkenny early this morning.

The vehicle was used to gain entry to the post office in Castlecomer sometime between 6am and 6.30am.

It is not known how much money the raiders escaped with.

Gardaí say the vehicle was stolen in Carlow overnight and have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the vehicle being driven or transported to Castlecomer to contact them.
