Mr Jan Gerrit Jochem Isenborger (43), a German national, was remanded on continuing bail until February 27th next at Cavan District Court yesterday by Judge Donal McArdle.

Mr Isenborger was charged with possession of a Karobiner .303 British Lee Enfield rifle with intent to endanger life contrary to Section 15 of the Firearm and Offensive Weapons Act 1990.

He was also charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Mr Paul Cumiskey, Mr Christopher Raythorn and Mr Thomas Owens with intent to maim, disfigure or disable.

Mrs Pauline Isenborger, the defendant's mother, will be cremated in Glasnevin following a midday service at Cavan General Hospital today.
