Tom Arnold has been appointed to the board of The Irish Times Ltd as a nominated director of The Irish Times Trust. He became a Governor of the Trust in 2008.
Mr Arnold is chief executive of Concern Worldwide. Prior to that he was chief economist and assistant secretary general in the Department of Agriculture and Food. With extensive international experience in agricultural and food policy, he has served as chair of the OECD Committee of Agriculture.
He was a member of the UN Millennium Projects Hunger Task Force and of the Irish Hunger Task Force. He is currently a member of the Board of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
