Gardaí appeal for witnesses after cyclist killed in Saggart

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked down and killed on the City West Road at Brownsbarn Roundabout in Saggart in Dublin yesterday evening.

The incident happened at about 5.20pm. The cyclist, a man in his late 30s, was knocked to the ground and brought to Tallaght Hospital where he later died. The road was closed for a time to facilitate a forensic collision examination.

Anyone who was in the area of City West Road between 5.20pm and 5.30pm yesterday evening or who may have any information is asked to conctact gardaí at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 - 6667600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
