An inquest into the death of a man who was shot as he left a football pitch has been adjourned due to ongoing inquiries.

An inquest into the death of a man who was shot as he left a football pitch has been adjourned due to ongoing inquiries.

Robert O’Hanlon (25), from Lucan in Co Dublin but living in Clondalkin, was shot as he walked off a football pitch in Clondalkin on March 15th, 2007. He died of gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

Det Insp Richard McDonnell of Lucan Garda station applied for an adjournment of the inquest at Dublin County Coroner’s Court under Section 25.1 of the Coroner’s Act 1962, which coroner Dr Kieran Geraghty granted.

He adjourned the inquest to a date in November when it will be mentioned at the Dublin City Coroner’s Court.
