Newcastle United captain Alan Shearer has been ruled out of the club's two remaining games of the season through injury.
Shearer, scorer of 25 goals this season, picked up an ankle injury in Saturday's 1-0 derby victory over Sunderland.
His absence represents a major loss to Newcastle as they look to secure Champions League football for next season.
Bobby Robson's men are third in the table on 65 points, just a point ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.
